Part of a collection that won the Microsoft Appreneur competition in 2013. Created over a period of 3 months, alongside work on Air Racing and other titles.

Built with Unity 4 Free. Uses a custom racing AI and car control solution.

Development

I've always wanted to make a racing game. Being a massive fan of motorsports in general, this was the next step in my game development career. I learnt a number of things during development, including the intricacies of texturing and mapping, methods for motorport logic (checkpoints, leaderboards, racing order in real-time, calculating time gaps between cars, and creating a complex and extensible menu system.)

I would definitely come back to redo this game, as I feel the physics and AI still need a lot of improvement.
